Initiator. Navigator. Pace-setter.
Steve is a principal architect at omb
and a Fellow of the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada. He strives for architecture that endures through the rewards of thoughtfulness, integrity and restraint, nurtured by an ethos of honesty and directness.
A strong advocate of simplicity and rigour, Steve engages the omb
team in the pursuit of design that belongs to its context and responds to the lessons of the past while managing the responsibilities of the future. His interests extend beyond the boundaries of a single project to the entire urban landscape, and he maintains an active voice in the sustainable growth of our cities and communities.
Steve has practiced architecture in Toronto, Halifax and Vancouver, he acquired his master of architecture (Technical University of Nova Scotia) back East before finding himself unable to resist the outdoor adventures of Vancouver and moving here in the early nineties. Since then, he balances his commitment to co-leading a meaningful design practice with the joys of sailing and keeping up with his family on skis, bikes, and a multitude of other craft built for speed.back to people
