The Obakki fashion store in Gastown compliments the modern and evolving, aesthetic of the brand. Simple design moves were introduced to respect the historic building while offering a flexible environment to display clothes, jewellery and accessories. The buildings existing brick and timber structure is showcased, clothing delicately suspended from the ceiling, and custom light fixtures highlight the rich textures of the space. The feature wood counter spanning the store was designed in collaboration with local wood artist Brent Comber.
