The False Creek flats neighbourhood of central Vancouver is undergoing large scale change and is set to become one of the city’s newest emerging Healthcare, Tech, and Creative Hubs. Situated in the False Creek Tidal Flats, the surrounding areas sit upon reclaimed land infilled in an effort to create space for the expansion of industry such as sawmills, and the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Rize Alliance, recognizing the potential in the community, has commissioned a space for creative manufacturing and administration that will bring new industry to the neighbourhood in support of innovation, manufacturing and technology. The building is designed to allow for connectivity and cross-pollination amongst the neighbouring multidisciplinary hubs at the public levels, and provides abundant daylight and access to the outdoors for inhabitants above. In respect of it`s context, the new facility will make use of robust and natural materials that are durable enough for the makers, yet honed to suit modern professional office activities.
